- 2. I've received an email that says "Transfer Alarm!"
"Transfer" is the amount of data that is sent to and from your site. That includes people viewing your website, email, ftp transfers, etc. The transfer amount is tracked and totaled through the month and is shown on the first page of your hosting account's online Account Manager. The transfer amount is reset to zero at the beginning of the following month.
Your Account Manager has a tool that you can use to get an alert when you account's transfer amount reaches a certain level. It's at: Account Management -> Edit Alarm Limit. The alarm email message will be sent nightly as long as the account's transfer amount is over the limit that's set.
Every hosting account at MetaPros has a maximum transfer amount that is allowed for any one month. You can check your account's limit at the Account Manager: Account Management -> Resource Information.
If your account goes over the limit, then you may be charged for the overage plus a service fee, as per the hosting policy (https://www.metapros.net/policies_billing.shtml#data_transfer). You should switch to a plan that accomodates your site's usage. Details of different plans can be found on our website. To switch plans, use the "Upgrade CP" section of your Account Manager.
